The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia (MoFA), commonly referred to as the Foreign Affairs Ministry (Indonesian: Kementerian Luar Negeri Republik Indonesia abbreviated “Kemlu”), is a government ministry responsible for the country’s foreign politics and diplomacy. The Directorate for the Protection of Indonesian Citizens and Legal Entities has the task of formulating and implementing policies in the field of protection of Indonesian citizens and Indonesian legal entities abroad including the provision of legal assistance, provision of humanitarian and social assistance, provision of repatriation facilitation, consular supervision, campaigns public awareness, harmonization of policies and regulations, and development of samabilateral, regional and multilateral work.
